Terms of Service

This page is maintained by Overwatch Digital Assistant Diagnostics. It explains the rules for using our service in plain English and is not a substitute for tailored legal advice.

The service

Overwatch is a vehicle diagnostics assistant that lets you run diagnostic reports, save them, and optionally contribute fixes to a shared community library.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when you sign up, keep your credentials confidential, and not share your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Your content

When you submit a fix to the community library, you grant Overwatch a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, and adapt that fix indefinitely as part of the shared library, including after you close your account.

Acceptable use

  • No illegal, abusive, or harmful use of the service.
  • No uploading of other people's personal data.
  • No reverse engineering, scraping, or attempts to break security.
  • No use that interferes with other users' access to the service.

Paid features and tokens

Some features are paid and are processed through Stripe from inside the app. Refunds for paid tokens or subscriptions are handled in line with UK consumer law and Stripe's process; contact us for help.

Diagnostic disclaimer

Diagnostic guidance produced by Overwatch is informational only and is not a substitute for inspection or work carried out by a qualified mechanic/techician. You are responsible for any decisions made based on the output of the service, including any work performed on your vehicle.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Overwatch is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You can close your account at any time from in-app settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. On deletion, your account data is removed in line with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Account maintenance

To stop dormant accounts from accumulating indefinitely, Overwatch charges 1 token every 3 months to keep an account open. The first 3 months after sign-up are free.

  • Users with an active subscription are exempt while the subscription is active. When a subscription ends, the 3-month maintenance timer begins from that point.
  • If you purchase any token pack at any time, your 3-month timer resets from the date of purchase.
  • If you have 0 tokens when a maintenance charge is due, your account is locked and you are signed out. The next time you sign in you will see a reactivation screen.
  • Purchasing any token pack while locked reactivates your account immediately. No token is deducted for the reactivation — the purchase itself serves as the reactivation reward — and the 3-month timer restarts from that purchase.
